More than 50 kids at Enchanted Care Powell in Ohio learned today all about the importance of soil health! This special Earth Day project was hosted by Solutions 4Earth Territory Manager Tyler Riley. He read the children the book “Dirt: The Scoop on Soil,” which is a part of the Amazing Science book series and colorfully illustrates components of soil, including humus, clay, silt, sand, rocks and pebbles, how humus is made from organic material and how to keep dirt healthy. Kids also got hands-on experience with planting flowers! Each one got to plant their own sunflowers to take home to watch grow and share with their family.
